Ingredients Dough

  • 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
  • 1 cup (tea) of sugar
  • 200 grams of butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Dough Preparation Method

  1. Sift the flour with the baking powder and set aside.
  2. Grease a bundt pan with butter. Set aside.
  3. In a mixer, beat the butter with the sugar until you get a smooth cream.
  4. Add the eggs one by one, beating until you get a light dough.
  5. Add the reserved flour and mix lightly.
  6. Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
  7. Divide the dough into two portions.
  8. Add the chocolate to the first and mix well.
  9. In the other portion add the lemon zest.
  10. In the pan, pour the mixture in alternating layers, without stirring.
  11. Bake for about 45 minutes.
  12. Unmold while still hot.

Ingredients Chocolate Coating

  • ½ can of condensed milk
  • ½ can of milk
  • 1 cup (tea) of chocolate powder
  • 1 teaspoon of margarine

How to prepare Chocolate Coverage

  1. In a pan, place all the ingredients.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

Ingredients Pink Topping

  • 1 glass of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
  • ½ teaspoon pink food coloring

Preparation Method Pink Topping

  1. In a pan, place all the ingredients.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

Assembly

  1. Pour the chocolate frosting over the cake.
  2. Pour the pink frosting over the chocolate frosting.
  3. Decorate the side of the cake with Easter eggs.

Mom’s Tips

Chocolate eggs can be homemade or purchased ready-made from candy stores/distributors.

The chocolate topping presented can be replaced with creamy brigadeiro.
