O Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, commented this Monday on the decision by Denmark and the Netherlands to send F-16s to Ukraine.

The decision was taken after the ‘green light’ given by the United States in recent days. Medvedev, former president of Russia, also commented on the reaction of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Annalena Baerbock.

At a press conference, the German official spoke about this shipment, which should take place after training for Ukrainian pilots. Baerbock considered that this decision resulted in a “great day for Ukraine and, consequently, a wonderful day for Europe”.

“Don’t play with airplanes, boys”commented Medvedev, on his Telegram account. “One of Europe’s next ‘good days’ could be its last day…”finished

The United States has strict rules about the resale or transfer of US military equipment by allies, with no known date when soldiers will complete training.

In July, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said he viewed the delivery of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine as a nuclear threat.

Since the beginning of June, Ukraine has promoted offensive operations in the east and south to try to retake territories occupied by Russian-speaking separatist militias and Russian forces.
