Dough Ingredients
- 2 and ½ cups of wheat flour
- 150 grams cold butter, chopped
- ½ cup (tea) sugar
- 2 excited
- ¼ cup (tea) cold water
Filling Ingredients
- 3 cups of milk (tea)
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 2 egg yolks, sifted
- 5 tablespoons cornstarch (cornstarch)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 300 grams of strawberries, sanitized and cut in half
- 3 kiwis, peeled and sliced
- Raspberries to taste (optional)
Syrup Ingredients
- ½ cup (tea) sugar
- ¼ cup of orange juice
Dough Preparation Method
- Mix the flour, butter and sugar with your fingertips until you get crumbs.
- Add the egg yolks and, little by little, the ice water, kneading lightly until smooth.
- Wrap in plastic wrap and leave in the fridge for 15 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
- Roll out the dough and line the bottom and sides of a springform pan (28 cm x 3 cm).
- Cover the dough with aluminum foil and fill with raw bean grains to prevent them from puffing up while baking.
- Bake for approximately 30 minutes or lightly brown.
- Remove the paper with the grains and wait for it to cool before turning it out onto the serving plate.
Filling preparation method
- In a pan, place the first four ingredients and heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
- Remove from the heat, add the vanilla and let it cool.
- Spread over the baked dough and let it cool completely before placing the fruit decoratively.
Syrup Preparation Method
- In a small pan, add the orange juice, sugar and cook over low heat for 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Wait for it to cool and brush over the fruit.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Mom Tips
The beans used, once cold, can be stored and reused for this same purpose.
