Ingredients
- 2 kg of boneless ham
- 1 chopped onion
- 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 4 tablespoons of oil
- 1 lemon juice
- ½ can of dark beer
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- Pomegranate (optional)
Sauce Ingredients
- ½ can of dark beer
- ½ can of tomato sauce
- 1 cup chopped bacon
- 1 cup chopped green olives
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
Preparation Mode
- Place the ham in a large bowl and set aside.
- Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
- In a blender, blend all the ingredients.
- Cover the ham with the seasoning and let it rest for 2 hours
- Turn the shank every now and then.
- Transfer to a mold and cover with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Remove the aluminum foil and return to the oven for another 40 minutes or until golden.
Sauce Preparation Method
- In a pan, over medium heat, fry the bacon in its own fat until golden.
- Add the beer, olives and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add the sauce, pepper and salt.
- Let it cook until it thickens.
- Place the ham on a platter, cover with the sauce, garnish with pomegranate and serve.
