  • 2 kg of boneless ham
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 lemon juice
  • ½ can of dark beer
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Pomegranate (optional)

Sauce Ingredients

  • ½ can of dark beer
  • ½ can of tomato sauce
  • 1 cup chopped bacon
  • 1 cup chopped green olives
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Mode

  1. Place the ham in a large bowl and set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
  3. In a blender, blend all the ingredients.
  4. Cover the ham with the seasoning and let it rest for 2 hours
  5. Turn the shank every now and then.
  6. Transfer to a mold and cover with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the aluminum foil and return to the oven for another 40 minutes or until golden.

Sauce Preparation Method

  1. In a pan, over medium heat, fry the bacon in its own fat until golden.
  2. Add the beer, olives and sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the sauce, pepper and salt.
  4. Let it cook until it thickens.
  5. Place the ham on a platter, cover with the sauce, garnish with pomegranate and serve.
