After 25 years of good and loyal service at the head of the Bristol kitchens, Éric Frechon is leaving his position. Who will replace this outstanding chef? According to information relayed by Point, Arnaud Faye, double-starred chef, is the one who will have the honor of succeeding this giant of French gastronomy.
Arnaud Faye is a well-known name in the world of French gastronomy. His impressive career has led him to work in some of the country’s most prestigious establishments, and his exceptional talent has earned him two Michelin stars. Originally from the Auvergne region, Arnaud Faye developed his passion for cooking from a very young age, inspired by the flavors and culinary traditions of his native land. Since then, the Meilleur Ouvrier de France has risen through the ranks to become one of the most respected figures on the French gastronomic scene. Today, the latter adds a new string to his bow by becoming the new head chef of the emblematic Bristol. “I am proud to join one of the most prestigious palaces in the world, to share with this legendary house the same desire to promote an art, a French tradition with precious know-how. Continuing the work of chef Éric Frechon is an honor, bringing my own style to it, the most beautiful adventure”, he commented to our colleagues. His approach to gastronomy, tinged with a deep passion for his profession, promises to breathe a breath of fresh air into Bristol, while preserving the excellence that has made this establishment’s reputation.
The starred chef of La Chèvre d’Or in Èze in the Alpes-Maritimes will take up his new role between mid-May and the end of May. He will also leave his current position on May 4. Customers will have to wait until September to be able to savor Arnaud Faye’s creations at the Bristol. “To begin with, we will continue to serve Éric Frechon’s cuisine therebecause we have a lot of requests”, explains Luca Allegri, the president and CEO of the palace. We will therefore have to wait a few more months before tasting the dishes offered by Arnaud Faye.
