This Flan recipe can also be enjoyed by those who are gluten intolerant. Delicious and healthy!


  • 400 ml almond or other vegetable milk
  • 4 heaped tablespoons of cornstarch (cornstarch)
  • 1 dessert spoon of vanilla essence
  • 5 tablespoons of honey
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar (use fructose)

Syrup Preparation Method

  1. In a small pan, add the sugar, 6 tablespoons of water and stir well so that all the sugar dissolves.
  2. Place over low heat and let it boil for approximately 3 minutes.
  3. Remove and when warm, distribute the syrup into jars. Reserve.

Flan Preparation Mode

  1. In a pan, add the milk, cornstarch and honey.
  2. Stir well until everything dissolves.
  3. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens.
  4. When it thickens, stir quickly to avoid sticking.
  5. Remove from heat and add the essence.
  6. Mix well so that the essence combines well with the flan.
  7. Distribute in jars and refrigerate.

To buy sweetener/fructose, you can find the product in natural products stores or in good supermarkets.
