Vladimir Putin gave an interview to American presenter Tucker Carlson, which was released on Thursday.
After the broadcast of the conversation between the Russian president and the controversial conservative and former Fox News presenter, the Kremlin spokesman defended that Putin’s interview is one of the most important news of the day and assured that the Russian leader did not know about beforehand what questions were going to be asked.
Dmitry Peskov assured, quoted by the TASS agency, that the Russian presidency did not “prepare” the “questions” beforehand before the interview and guaranteed that, during the conversation, he “expressed his views on the world”.
Peskov also added that after the interview was broadcast, they received several invitations, from the USA, France, Italy, Austria and Australia, to interview Vladimir Putin.
“We are grateful for these requests,” he said, noting, however, that the president is not available to respond to them at the moment.
Remember that during the interview, Putin spoke about the invasion of Ukraine, considering it “impossible” for his country to be defeated.
“There are cries to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia on the battlefield. In my opinion, it is impossible, by definition. That will never happen,” he said.
