How about an appetizing chicken with a different flavor? Try it!


  • 1 large chicken
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of saffron
  • 2 thick-skinned lemons
  • Green olives to taste
  • Butter

Preparation Mode

  1. Clean the chicken and cut it into pieces along the joints.
  2. Season with lemon, pepper and salt.
  3. Let it taste for 1 hour.
  4. Heat the butter, add the chicken and saffron.
  5. Sauté until golden.
  6. Add 1 cup of boiling water, cover and cook over low heat for 35 minutes.
  7. Remove the chicken pieces from the pan, place them in an ovenproof dish and keep warm.
  8. Add the lemons cut into thick slices and the olives to the pan sauce.
  9. Let it boil.
  10. Pour the sauce over the chicken.
  11. Serve.

Mom Tips

If you prefer, after removing the chicken from the pan, you can brown the pieces again in butter on the stove or in the oven.

Serve with white rice and plantains fried in butter.
