UA 30-year-old man was remanded in pre-trial detention and charged with murder, as he was suspected of killing a young man, who was part of a group that had prepared an ambush for him, in Montmagny, France.

The information was confirmed this Monday by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Pontoise to AFP.

According to a police source, the man had arranged a meeting using the Tinder application on Saturday night, and when he arrived at the place, he found three people who attacked him and tried to steal his money and cell phone.

To defend himself, the man took out a knife he had with him. One of the alleged attackers, a 16-year-old boy, died at the scene, following an injury to his shoulder, close to an artery.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office noted that, at the moment, “it is not possible to better specify the circumstances surrounding the commission of the facts”.
