  • 1 cup mango (in pieces)
  • 1 cup (tea) of water
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • ½ cup chili pepper, finely chopped into thin strips
  • 2 cups mango (thinly sliced)

Preparation Mode

  1. In a blender, blend the mango with the water, vinegar, sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
  2. Pour into a pan and add the cinnamon, cloves and cook over low heat.
  3. Stir occasionally for approximately 10 minutes.
  4. Add the mango flakes and cook for another 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Turn off and mix the pepper.

Mom Tips

If you prefer, you can use apple cider vinegar.

Biquinho pepper has no heat. If you prefer it hot, use smaller quantities of finger pepper.

To handle peppers, use a silicone glove.

Store the compote in sterilized glass or an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
