Ingredients

  • 1 kg of firm-fleshed white fish fillets, like boyfriend
  • 500 grams of large shrimp, peeled and cleaned
  • 500 grams of peeled seafood
  • 500 grams of octopus tentacles, chopped into pieces
  • 500 grams of squid in rings
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons of palm oil
  • 2 cups of coconut milk
  • Salt to taste

Vegetable Ingredients

  • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 3 and ½ onions cut into 1 cm slices.
  • 1 sweet pepper, seeded and cut into small cubes
  • 1.5 kg of Italian tomatoes cut into 1 cm slices
  • 1 red pepper cut into slices
  • 1 yellow pepper cut into slices
  • 1 green pepper cut into slices
  • ½ cup chopped coriander
  • ½ cup chopped parsley

Preparation Mode

  1. Clean and prepare the vegetables.
  2. In the pressure cooker, without water, place the octopus and ½ onion.
  3. Let it cook for 5 minutes after it comes to pressure.
  4. When the pan is free of pressure, open it, discard the onion and set the octopus aside.
  5. In a large clay pot, layer the fish, octopus, shellfish and squid. Season with salt.
  6. Spread the onion, garlic, pepper and paprika on top.
  7. Drizzle everything with olive and palm oil.
  8. Cover the pan and place over low heat and let it boil for 40 minutes without stirring.
  9. Vegetables and seafood should be soft.
  10. From time to time, open the pan and water with the broth that forms.
  11. When cooked and ready, add the shrimp and pour over the coconut milk.
  12. Let cook for 5 minutes until the shrimp turn pink.
  13. Remove from the heat and check if the salt is good.
  14. Add the parsley and cilantro.
  15. Serve in your own clay pot.

Pirão Ingredients

  • Fish heads
  • Seasonings of your choice
  • Cassava flour

Pirão Preparation Method

  1. Make a broth with the fish heads and seasonings.
  2. Strain, boil and add the cassava flour little by little, until it is almost thick.

Farofa Ingredients

  • 1 grated onion
  • Palm oil
  • Roasted cassava flour

Farofa Preparation Method

  1. Sauté the onion in palm oil.
  2. Little by little, add the cassava flour.
  3. Stir until golden and crispy
