Denis Pushilin further detailed that the attack was carried out by Ukrainian artillery with 152 and 155 mm caliber projectiles from the Kurajovsky and Krasnogorovsky directions.

Emergency services confirmed that there were two children among the injured and warned that the death toll could increase in the last few hours, as there are many victims who suffered serious injuries, including “deep wounds to vital organs and traumatic amputations of extremities”.

The attack on Donetsk comes at a time of intensified fighting on the Ukrainian eastern front, where Russian troops have made some progress in recent days, according to the American think tank Institute for War Studies (ISW). ).

Kyiv has not yet commented on the attack and according to the Associated Press agency, it has not yet been possible to independently verify the information transmitted.

Russia guarantees that it has led actions on all fronts, while Ukraine declares that it maintains an “active defense” that has stopped the advances of Moscow’s troops.

The Russian military offensive on Ukrainian territory, launched on February 24, 2022, plunged Europe into what is considered the most serious security crisis since the Second World War (1939-1945).
