A delicious dessert, these sweet jams are a hit on any occasion.

Plum Jam


  • 30 large black plums
  • 1 cup (tea) of Port wine
  • 100 grams of roasted, skinless almonds

Preparation Mode

  1. In a bowl, place the plums.
  2. Add the Port wine.
  3. Add ½ cup (tea) of cold water.
  4. Store the compote bowl in a cool place for approximately 24 hours.
  5. Serve with almonds.

Apple’s Jam


  • 4 large apples
  • Apple peels and cores
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1 and ½ cup (tea) sugar

Preparation Mode

  1. Cut the apples into 8 slices, soak in cold water to prevent them from darkening.
  2. In a pan, place the apple peels and cores.
  3. Add 1 liter of cold water, lemon juice and cook for approximately 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and pass through a sieve. Reserve.
  5. Arrange the apple slices in a pan.
  6. Pour in the syrup little by little, sprinkle with sugar, cover and let cook for 10 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and let cool.
  8. Place in a compote dish.

Mom Tips

Apple compote can be served plain or even accompanied by plum compote.

Serve the jams as dessert.

Approximate yield of each jam is 6 servings.
