“QWe will once again unequivocally warn Washington, London, Brussels and other Western capitals, as well as Kiev, which is under their control, that they are playing with fire,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
In the text, Moscow’s diplomacy states that “Russia will not leave such attacks against its territory unanswered”.
The Russian Defense Ministry indicated today that more than a hundred Ukrainian ‘drones’ were shot down in the annexed peninsula of Crimea and in three Russian regions last night.
According to the statement, 51 drones were shot down in the territory of Crimea, 44 in the Krasnodar region, six in the Belgorod region and one in the Kursk region.
Furthermore, the Russian military reported that last night aircraft and patrol boats destroyed six Ukrainian water drones in the waters of the Black Sea.
In turn, the governor of Belgorod, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported the death of two civilians — mother and son — due to a night drone attack against one of the cities in the region.
Last night’s drone attack was one of the most massive launched by Ukraine as it seeks to neutralize the latest Russian advances in the east of the country and, more recently, in the northeastern Kharkiv region, which borders Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin today held Kiev responsible for the offensive that Russian troops began last week in Kharkiv and linked it to attacks on populated areas in Russian border territories.
