  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 can of whey-free cream
  • Ground walnuts, to taste (optional)

Royal Icing Ingredients

  • 1 egg white
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 250 grams of icing sugar
  • Silver confections
  • Blue gel dye

Icing Preparation Method

  1. Beat the egg white with a mixer.
  2. Add the lemon juice and add the sugar.
  3. Beat until icing.

Dough Preparation Method

  1. Using a mixer, beat the egg whites and set aside.
  2. Beat the rest of the ingredients except the yeast. Add the egg whites, mix lightly and finally add the yeast.
  3. Bake in a round baking dish for 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the dough comes out dry.
  4. Once cold, unmold, cut the cake in half and fill.
  5. Cover with the other dough and decorate the cake.

Decorating the Cake

  1. Two-thirds of the surface of the cake should be covered with blue royal icing and the rest of the cake with undyed royal icing.
  2. Wait for it to dry a little. While decorating, leave the frosting bowl covered with a damp cloth.
  3. Using a toothpick, mark the pine trees and the star on the blue icing (see photo).
  4. Fill generously with white icing.
  5. Wait for it to dry a little.
  6. Wherever you place the sprinkles, add a little dot of blue icing. It will serve as “glue” for the confection and give a slight color to the confection and pine.
  7. On the blue side, randomly distribute white dots.
  8. Note that on the white part there are little dots of blue icing.
  9. Finish by surrounding the entire cake with a beautiful ribbon bow that may be better than the one in the photo.

Mom Tips

Cooking the can of condensed milk in the pressure cooker: After 35 minutes, turn off the heat and wait for all the pressure to release naturally from the pan. Then, open the pan, carefully remove the can and wait for the can to cool completely before opening it.

If you prefer, you can decorate the cake with fondant.
