O Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico announced his return to work on Tuesday, somewhat ironically, apologizing for having survived.
“Dear progressive liberal media and opposition, sorry I survived, but I’m back”wrote Robert Fico in a post on the social network Facebook.
Fico returned to his duties as Slovak Prime Minister today after almost two months away, despite still having difficulty standing for long periods.
It is worth remembering that the ruler suffered an assassination attempt which led him to undergo several operations and spend two weeks in hospital.
Fico was shot by Juraj Cintula, 71, as he was leaving a Council of Ministers meeting in the municipality of Handlova. The man has been in custody since then.
