This is a very easy chicken recipe to make and everyone enjoys it.

Ingredients

  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of mozzarella cheese
  • 4 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon of water
  • 2 egg whites
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Breadcrumbs

Preparation Mode

  1. Beat the egg whites with the water and set aside.
  2. Using a knife, cut the chicken breast in half, without separating the two parts.
  3. Place between two plastic sheets and beat with a meat mallet until the same thickness is obtained.
  4. Season with pepper and salt.
  5. Fold the slice of ham and cheese in half and place in the center.
  6. Fold and secure with toothpicks.
  7. Coat in wheat flour, beaten egg white and breadcrumbs.
  8. Fry slowly in very hot oil, on both sides, until golden.
  9. Drain on paper towels and place in a baking dish.
  10. Bake for 10 minutes before serving.

Mom’s Tips

Serve with iceberg lettuce salad.

If you prefer, you can season the filling with mustard and even use another filling of your choice.

Yields 4 servings.
