  • 1 and ½ cup cornmeal (tea)
  • 1 tablet of fresh yeast
  • 1 cup of water (warm)
  • 250 grams of boiled and mashed sweet potato
  • 2 cups wheat flour (tea)
  • 1 cup (tea) of sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Butter for greasing

Preparation mode

  1. Mix the yeast with the water and 1 cup (tea) of cornmeal.
  2. Let rest for 10 minutes.
  3. Grease a baking dish with butter and set aside.
  4. Add sweet potato, flour, sugar, butter and mix well.
  5. Add salt and remaining cornmeal.
  6. Mix well to obtain a dough to model the buns.
  7. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.
  8. Model the buns the size you want.
  9. Place them on the baking sheet, cover with a cloth and let rise for 30 minutes.
  10. Take them to the oven for approximately 40 minutes or until they start to gold.
