“[O grupo islâmico Hamas] currently has the bodies of 20 hostages (…), we know that they were murdered in captivity”, lamented the spokesperson for the Israeli Government, Eylon Levy.

The Israeli confirmation that among the 132 hostages there are 20 dead comes after today they reported on the recovery of three hostage bodies: two military personnel and a French-Israeli civilian, during their offensive.

Israel does not comment on possible negotiations to release the hostages, while reiterating that it will not stop efforts to free them, but without avoiding criticism from their families.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s executive criticized, for his part, international organizations, which he accused of appearing to have forgotten them.

So far, 110 kidnapped people have been released: 86 Israelis and 24 of other nationalities, in addition to eight bodies.

The development of the offensive against the Islamist group is the focus of the visit to Israel by the American National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, who today met with the Israeli President, Isaac Herzog, and the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas.

From the Gaza Ministry of Health, controlled by Hamas, the information is that the number of victims continues to increase daily, most of them civilians: 18,800 dead and more than 51,000 injured.

There are 1.9 million people displaced from Gaza, around 80 percent of that territory’s population.
