Ingredients

  • 6 pork steaks
  • 1 teaspoon of ready-made seasoning (garlic and salt)
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups (tea) of oil

Preparation Mode

  1. Mix the ready-made seasoning with the pepper.
  2. Rub the seasoning into the meat.
  3. Place the oil in a large, simple pan and, when hot, slowly add two pork chops. Let it fry well, golden on both sides.
  4. Remove and repeat the operation until the steaks are finished.
  5. Place all the steaks in the pan.
  6. Afterwards, add enough water to cover the steaks. Let them cook until they soften.
  7. When they are soft and cooked, the water may or may not have dried out. If the water has practically dried, let the steaks finish frying until golden. If the steaks are already cooked and soft but the water has not dried out; Remove almost all the water, add oil and let the steaks finish cooking (drying out all the water), frying and browning.

Mom Tips

Know that using water to cook the steaks makes them soft and tasty, whereas if they were just fried directly in oil, they would be hard and dry.

Yields 6 servings.

Serve with the traditional pair of rice and beans, and a very refreshing salad.
