We know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. However, many of us favor sweet foods in its composition. However, cereals, biscuits, white bread and spreads are rich in fast sugars and will cause a glycemic peak which, when it subsides, will lead to the desire to snack and eat sugar again. A vicious circle that is sometimes difficult to break. Many nutrition professionals recommend opting instead for a savory breakfast, which is much more interesting for getting the day off to a flying start. As it is rich in proteins, it helps get the body back into action, it will also stall more and therefore limit weight gain.

Due to habit or lack of time, it is sometimes difficult to make this transition. This is why we offer you this very simple egg-based recipe to easily transform your breakfast.

Ingredients :

4 eggs 75 ml of milk 1 slice or diced ham Cheese such as mozzarella or grated Emmental Salt, pepper, paprika or Espelette pepper

Steps :

Place the rack in the center of the oven and preheat it to 190°C. Oil the muffin pan. In a bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, paprika, salt and pepper. Then pour the preparation into the compartments. Then add the pieces of ham and cheese. Mix gently. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes depending on the oven. Unmold and wait 5 minutes before eating.

All you have to do is accompany this omelette with a piece of wholemeal or rye bread, natural yogurt and fruit to enjoy a perfectly balanced breakfast.

You can of course personalize your preparation according to your tastes and the season. You can add pieces of tomatoes and diced feta for a more summery version. In winter, you can focus on cheeses like raclette or reblochon.
