A tasty pie that you can serve as a starter cannot be missing from your menu. Try it!


  • 5 ripe tomatoes, skinned and seeded
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Oregano to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • 400 grams of frozen puff pastry
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 can of cream
  • 3 tablespoons butter at room temperature
  • 6 eggs

Preparation Mode

  1. Season the tomato with oregano, pepper and salt. Reserve.
  2. In a deep bowl, beat the eggs. Remove a tablespoon and set aside.
  3. Little by little add the cream and butter.
  4. Separate a tablespoon of the grated cheese and add the rest to the egg and cream mixture.
  5. Grease and flour a 26 cm diameter pan.
  6. Preheat the oven to a mild temperature.
  7. Roll out the puff pastry to a thickness of 4 mm and line the pan with it.
  8. With the leftover dough, make a 2 cm thick border and brush with the reserved beaten egg.
  9. Add the tomato to the cream and egg mixture.
  10. Fill the pie.
  11. Sprinkle with reserved cheese.
  12. Bake for approximately 40 minutes.
  13. Serve very hot.

Mom Tips

Heavy cream (canned) can be replaced with fresh cream.

Preheat the oven 15 minutes before taking the pie to bake.

If the pie starts to color before baking; cover it with aluminum foil.

Puff pastry: use a 400 gram package.
