On Valentine’s Day, celebrate your loving union with this delicious cake. Love will become sweeter!

Dough Ingredients

  • 1 and ½ cup (tea) sifted wheat flour
  • 1 and ½ cup (tea) sugar
  • ½ cup sifted chocolate powder
  • 5 egg whites
  • 5 excited
  • 1 level tablespoon of baking powder

Filling and Covering Ingredients

  • 800 grams of chopped milk chocolate
  • 450 grams of fresh cream
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate liqueur
  • 1 cup (tea) Whipped cream
  • Whipped cream to decorate
  • Heart-shaped confectionery to decorate

Dough Preparation Method

  1. Grease and flour a heart-shaped pan and set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
  3. Using a mixer, beat the egg yolks with the sugar for 10 minutes or until they double in volume.
  4. Add the flour and chocolate and mix well.
  5. Add the egg whites, yeast and mix from top to bottom with a spoon.
  6. Pour into the pan and bake for approximately 35 minutes.
  7. Once baked, let it cool and unmold.
  8. Cut the cake into two parts and set aside.

Method of Preparation Filling and Covering

  1. Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie and add the cream and liqueur.
  2. Mix well.
  3. When it cools, add the cup of whipped cream and mix well.

Cake Assembly

  1. Divide the filling into two parts.
  2. Place the dough on a cake plate and drizzle with guarana or syrup of your choice.
  3. Spread part of the filling, place the other dough and cover with the remaining filling.
  4. Decorate the sides and edge of the cake with whipped cream.
  5. With the sprinkles, decorate the cake forming another heart.

Mom Tips

The filling presented is truffled. If you prefer, you can choose another chocolate filling of your choice.
