Lasagna is not only nutritious but also sophisticated and ideal for special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 kg of cooked lasagna
- 2 and ½ cups of chopped and cooked spinach
- 1 large chopped onion
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- ¾ cup (tea) of wheat flour
- 4 and ½ cups of milk
- 100 grams of grated parmesan cheese
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- 1 and ½ cups of cottage cheese
- 1 cup crushed gorgonzola cheese
- 2 cups chopped cauliflower
- 1 and ½ cup carrots, cut into very thin slices
- ½ cup red pepper, seedless, chopped
- 1 cup chopped green chilli powder
- 3 crushed garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons of oil
Preparation Mode
- After the spinach is cooked, drain well, place between paper towels and press to dry. Reserve.
- In a pan, over medium heat, melt the butter, add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until soft.
- Add the wheat flour, mixing well, and pour in the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
- Stir for 5 minutes or until thickened.
- Remove from the heat, add the spinach and ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese.
- Season with pepper and salt and mix. Reserve.
- In a large pan, over medium heat, heat the oil and garlic, add the carrot, cauliflower, green chilli, pepper and cook, stirring constantly until the vegetables are cooked but firm.
- Season with pepper and salt and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the mozzarella, cottage and gorgonzola cheeses well. Reserve.
- Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
Assembling the Lasagna
- At the bottom of a refractory greased with oil, spread ½ cup (tea) of the spinach mixture.
- Reserve 1 cup of the spinach mixture.
- Form another layer with lasagna strips.
- Top with half of the cheese mixture.
- On top, make a layer with half of the vegetable mixture.
- Spread half of the remaining spinach mixture over the vegetables.
- Make another layer of lasagna, cheese, vegetables and spinach.
- Cover with the rest of the lasagna.
- Spread with reserved spinach mixture and sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese.
- Place in the oven and bake for approximately 35 minutes.
Mom Tips
The amount of spinach represents about 2 bunches. You can prepare it by steaming.
The green scent can be replaced with just green onions.
Mash the gorgonzola cheese with the help of a fork.
1 kg of cooked lasagna, represents approximately 18 strips of lasagna
