O Former President of the United States, Donald Trump, celebrated his 78th birthday on Friday night, in front of an audience of members of ‘Club 47’, in West Palm Beach, Florida. The tycoon did not shy away from throwing barbs at the current US head of state, Joe Biden, who he considered to be too fragile to hold out for a second term. Still, Biden didn’t let himself be left behind, and sent him a congratulatory message that was also full of barbs.
“Our country is being destroyed by incompetent people. All presidents should take aptitude tests,” he said, in front of his supporters, quoted by the Associated Press (AP).
The festivities also included a multi-tiered cake with Trump’s campaign slogan and ‘Club 47’ logo, which remained intact. However, there was a vanilla cake behind the scenes of the event, which was distributed by the Republican’s team, according to the AP.
“This is by far the biggest birthday party I’ve ever had,” said Trump, recalling some of his electoral proposals, such as reducing taxes, increasing immigration restrictions and eliminating environmental laws to encourage domestic production.
At the same time that he made fun of Biden, having said that the head of state “doesn’t know where the hell he is”, the tycoon was in favor of early voting and voting by mail. However, he later proclaimed that he does not need votes.
“We don’t actually need your vote. We have so many votes,” she stated.

Biden, who will turn 82 the day after November’s presidential election, did not let Trump’s birthday go unnoticed. The Democrat released a list of 78 “historical ‘deeds’” not only of the Republican’s presidency and his ‘failures’, but of several references to the legal cases pending against the tycoon.
“Happy 78th birthday, Donald. From one old man to another: age is just a number. This election, however, is a choice”, wrote Biden, on the social network X (Twitter).
The president’s campaign spokesman, James Singer, added: “On behalf of America, our early gift for his 79th birthday: assure us that he will never be president again.”
It should be noted that Trump was accused of improperly handling classified documents, which he illegally took to his residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, upon leaving the White House. He was also accused of trying to subvert the results of the 2020 presidential elections, and convicted of falsifying documents to cover up a sex scandal during the 2016 election campaign.
