O Former President of the United States Donald Trump has agreed to post bail in the amount of 200 thousand dollars (about 184 thousand euros) in the case of the accusation of electoral interference in the state of Georgia.
The information is advanced by CNN International, which had access to court documents. Trump and the remaining 18 defendants in the case are expected to turn themselves in at the Fulton County Jail by 12:00 (17:00 in Lisbon) on Friday, July 25.
In the agreement in question, presented by the District Attorney of Fulton County, Fani Willis, and Trump’s defense lawyers, it is also mentioned that the former president is prohibited from intimidating other defendants, witnesses or victims who are involved in the case.
These possible threats are prohibited, either directly or more indirectly, such as, for example, using social networks. In the document it is explicit that the situation includes “publications on social networks or republications of publications made by another individual on social networks”.
The republican tycoon is also prohibited from communicating in any way about the case with any co-defendant or witness, except through lawyers.
The district attorney proposed that the reading of the charges to the defendants take place in the week of September 5 and that the case go to trial in March.

The former president faces 13 charges, including violation of an anti-corruption law, which, if confirmed, carries a prison sentence.
Also among the accused are his former personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, as well as his former chief of staff, Mark Meadows.
Trump had already received four charges for trying to reverse the result of the 2020 presidential election, and in this process, special prosecutor Jack Smith proposed the start of the trial for January 2024, a few days before the start of the Republican primaries.
In New York, Donald Trump has 34 counts of falsifying commercial documents in a case involving pornographic actress Stormy Daniels, with whom the former president had an affair in 2006, and is expected in court on March 25.
In Florida, the Republican has 40 charges for theft and retention of confidential documents and is due to appear in court on May 20, a few months before the 2024 presidential elections.
The former head of state has denounced a “witch hunt” to prevent him from carrying out his presidential campaign and has defended that these processes should be carried out after the elections.
