Have you tried chicken feijoada? No? It’s a good alternative when you can’t or don’t want to use the traditional meats of a feijoada. Try it! It is no less delicious than the traditional one.
Ingredients
- 1 chicken cut into pieces
- 4 tablespoons oil
- 1 lemon juice
- salt to taste
- 1 cup onion (chopped)
- 10 slices of bacon cut into cubes
- 4 tomatoes, peeled and seeded, chopped
- 3 tablespoons of tomato sauce
- 3 cups cooked black beans
- 2 and 1/2 cups of vegetable broth
- 1 small chili pepper, seeded and minced
- 1 cup chopped parsley (chopped)
Preparation mode
- Season the chicken with lemon and salt.
- In a large pan, heat the oil and brown the chicken, stirring so as not to burn.
- Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, brown the bacon and onion.
- Add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, chicken, beans, vegetable broth and pepper.
- Cover the pan and let it cook for approximately 20 minutes.
- Turn off the fire and add the smell-green mixing everything.
- Serve immediately with white rice and the traditional accompaniment of feijoada.
