YUlia Navalnaya, wife of Russian opponent Alexei Navalny, guaranteed this Friday that the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and “everyone around him” will be “held responsible for everything they did” to the country and his family.
“I don’t know whether or not to believe this terrible news that we only receive from Russian government sources”he said during a speech at the Munich Security Conference, cited by Sky News, adding that “we have not been able to trust Putin and Putin’s government for many years”, because “they are always lying”.
“But If this is true, I want Putin and everyone around him to know that they will be held accountable for everything what they did to our country, to my family. And that day will come very soon”he assured.
And he added: “I want to appeal to the international community and all people to unite and defeat this evil.”
According to Sky News, Yulia Navalnaya’s speech was followed by applause and a standing ovation.
