The banana is one of the fruits that the French love. To enhance it, one of the essential pastry recipes is, without a doubt, banana bread. Easy and quick, it’s the perfect preparation to make with your children, even the little ones.
This is how former Top Chef candidate Carla Ferrari, via an Instagram video, shared her recipe. She got into the kitchen with her son to test this cake. A moment of happiness and exchange that is close to her heart, as she explains in the caption: “Cooking as a family is a dream that little by little becomes reality, sometimes with a few disappointments, a lot of dishes and broken pots but with a smile from ear to ear when you take the cake out of the oven.”

So to cook this delicious cake, here is how to do it.
For this banana bread, you will need:
- 2 large ripe bananas
- 100g peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons of peanut oil
- 2 tablespoons of milk
- 100g of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 vanilla pod
- 200g flour
- 150g chocolate chips
- Start by mixing the sugar and eggs before whisking everything vigorously.
- Then, mash the bananas and add them to the egg/sugar mixture. Incorporate the rest of the ingredients.
- Pour the mixture into a buttered mold. Then bake for 40 minutes at 170°C.
- In order to control the cooking, the young woman gives her tip: “Place the tip of the knife in the middle of the cake, it should come out almost dry.”.
- If the tip comes out dry, it’s ready!
All you have to do is taste.
