PAt least three people died following two shootings this Saturday morning in Falls Township, in the US state of Pennsylvania. Local residents were warned by authorities to remain in their homes, as the suspect remains unknown.
“There have been confirmed shootings in Falls Township. There are multiple victims and it is unknown at this time whether they are specific or random targets,” the Middletown Township Police Department wrote on Facebook.
However, authorities revealed to CBS News that at least three people died in what was described as a domestic incident.
The suspect is believed to be Andre Gordon, a 26-year-old man who “has ties to addresses in Bucks and Trenton,” according to the Middletown Township Police Department. Authorities also noted that the young man will be homeless, even though he spends most of his time in Trenton.
The young man, who was last seen in a stolen vehicle, is believed to have killed two people in a residence on Viewpoint Lane at 9 am (local time). The suspect then fled, fatally shooting a third person. Andre Gordon allegedly stole the car he used to escape at 9:15 am, in a car park in Morrisville, at gunpoint. Still, the driver of the vehicle was not injured, FOX29 reported.
The same media reported that the young man knew all the victims.
Bucks County issued a stay-at-home order, with citizens required to report any “suspicious activity” to the authorities, as stated by the attorney general’s office on the social network X (Twitter).
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and other law enforcement officials are assisting the Falls Township Police Department in an active police investigation and are urging residents in the township to shelter-in-place. Report any suspicious activity to 911.
