Barbecue sauce

Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 3 grated onions
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 4 tablespoons of white vinegar
  • 200 grams of tomato puree
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 sprig of thyme
  • 1 chopped bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Mode

  1. In a pan, over low heat, heat the oil, add the onion, garlic and sauté.
  2. When golden, add the vinegar, tomato puree and let it fry for 3 minutes.
  3. Add Worcestershire sauce, wine, mustard, thyme and bay leaves.
  4. Let it boil for 12 minutes or until you get a creamy sauce.
  5. Add the honey and season with pepper and salt.
  6. Let it boil for a few more minutes.

Mom Tips

Serve hot with grilled poultry or meat.

Yield = ½ liter of sauce.

Hollandaise sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of white vinegar
  • 3 excited
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • 6 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice

  1. In a pan, add the vinegar, egg yolks, pepper and salt.
  2. Beat well and place over low heat in a bain-marie.
  3. Add the butter little by little, without stopping beating, until it reaches the consistency of mayonnaise.
  4. Add the lemon juice, little by little.

Mom Tips

Serve with fries or grilled steaks.
