O US presidential candidate Donald Trump was injured on Saturday during a rally in Butler, in the US state of Pennsylvania.
A person believed to be the shooter and a member of the audience who was present died at the scene, the Butler County District Attorney’s Office said, according to the Washington Post.
Donald Trump reacted, however, offering condolences to the family of the supporter who died, explaining that he had been hit “by a bullet that pierced the upper part of the ear”.
Several videos captured the moment when the sound of gunshots was heard, and it is possible to see the former president putting his hand to his right ear, where blood was visible.
In the images it is still possible to see the Republican raising his fist, as he is removed from the scene.

Secret Services to investigate
Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the former president was safe. “An incident occurred on the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former president is safe. is safe. This is now an active Secret Service investigation and more information will be released when available,” the spokesperson explained in a statement quoted by CNN International.
The FBI is also investigating the situation.
The information was corroborated by a spokesperson for the White House candidate, who said that the quick action of the rescue workers was a great help. “He is doing well and is being examined at a local medical center. More details will follow.”Steven Cheung said in a statement, calling it a “heinous act.”
US President Joe Biden is receiving details about the situation, the White House said.
