Hmm…this banana cake is really delicious! Don’t forget to make it for the group at home!


  • 10 bananas, peeled and cut into small pieces
  • 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
  • 2 cups of sugar (tea)
  • 1 cup of chocolate powder
  • 150 grams of melted margarine
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 level tablespoon of baking powder

  • 1/3 cup (tea) of milk
  • 5 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted margarine
  • 2 and ½ tablespoons of chocolate milk or chocolate powder

Mix all the ingredients in a small pan, heat over high heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens a little.

How to Prepare Bolo

  1. Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
  2. In a bowl, sift the flour, chocolate powder, sugar and yeast. Set aside.
  3. Grease a 40 cm x 28 cm baking dish and line the bottom with half the bananas.
  4. In a mixer, beat the eggs for 5 minutes or until they double in volume.
  5. Drizzle the bananas on the baking sheet with half of the margarine.
  6. Sprinkle with half of the dry ingredients.
  7. Spread half of the beaten eggs over everything.
  8. Top with remaining bananas, margarine, dry ingredients and remaining eggs.
  9. Bake for 45 minutes or until lightly golden.
  10. Make the frosting and spread it over the cake.

Mom’s Tips

You can add chocolate shavings or drops to the dough.
