Financier is a small, delicate cupcake with a fluffy and moist consistency and is very popular in France. Excellent served with coffee!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (tea) almond flour
  • 5 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (tea) sugar
  • 4 egg whites
  • ¾ cup melted butter
  • 12 rectangular silicone molds

Preparation Mode

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flours, vanilla and sugar.
  3. Gently add the egg whites to the dry ingredients.
  4. Add the butter to the mixture, stirring with a spoon.
  5. Place the dough in the molds.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until the dumplings are lightly golden.

Mom Tips

Financier = financial in Portuguese.

The name was created near the Paris Stock Exchange in the 18th century.
