  • 12 slices of bread
  • 1 cup of milk (tea)
  • 4 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • ½ teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 4 eggs
  • ¼ cup (tea) oil
  • ½ cup (tea) sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of cinnamon
  • Vanilla or cream ice cream
  • Baked apple slices (optional)
  • Mint leaves

Preparation Mode

  1. Mix the sugar and cinnamon and set aside.
  2. Beat the eggs until they foam.
  3. Add the nutmeg, flour and beat some more.
  4. Quickly bathe the slices of bread in milk and dip them in the egg.
  5. In a non-stick frying pan, heat the oil and fry four slices at a time.
  6. Remove and reserve them on a metal rack.
  7. Dip the French toast in cinnamon sugar. Serve two slices on each plate with a scoop of ice cream.
  8. Decorate with apple slices and mint leaves.

Mom Tips

Vanilla or cream ice cream can be replaced with flavored ice cream of your choice.
