A highly successful typical Italian delicacy, in the form of a cupcake! It’s worth doing!


  • 250 grams of wheat flour
  • 280 grams of sugar
  • 80 grams of unsalted butter
  • 1 level teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 240 ml of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Syrup Ingredients

  • 250 ml strong coffee
  • 50 ml coffee liqueur
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar

Filling and Covering Ingredients

  • 400 grams of mascarpone
  • 50 ml coffee liqueur
  • 300 ml fresh cream
  • 30 grams of icing sugar
  • Cocoa powder

Preparation Mode

  1. Preheat the oven to 190ºC.
  2. Place paper cups in muffin tins.
  3. Using a mixer, at low speed, mix the first five ingredients until crumbly.
  4. Separately, beat the eggs, milk and vanilla by hand.
  5. With the mixer running at low speed, pour three-quarters of the liquid into the crumbs.
  6. The ingredients must be well incorporated.
  7. Add the rest of the milk mixture and beat again, at medium speed, until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  8. Pour the dough into the molds until two-thirds full.
  9. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until firm to the touch.
  10. Remove, keep in the pan for a few minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool.

How to prepare the syrup

  1. In a pan, mix all the ingredients.
  2. Bring to a boil and let it boil until the content reduces by half.

Method of Preparation Filling and Covering

  1. Using a mixer, beat the mascarpone and liqueur until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. Remove and reserve.
  2. Beat the cream with the sugar in a mixer until it reaches a whipped cream consistency.
  3. Add the mascarpone mixture and beat until well blended.


  1. Remove a cap from each cupcake and make a well in the center, about 2cm in diameter and 3cm deep. Reserve.
  2. Moisten the tops and centers of the cupcakes with the syrup.
  3. Fill the dumplings with mascarpone cream and place the lids on.
  4. Decorate the cupcakes with the remaining cream.
  5. Sprinkle the cupcakes with cocoa powder

Mom Tips

Mascarpone: cheese with a very creamy consistency, made from cow’s milk and particularly rich in fat. Light beige in color and sweet flavor.
