“R“Carrying out attacks against civilians is prohibited under international law, and such attacks are unacceptable and must stop immediately,” the UN chief said in a statement read out by his spokesman, naming the two medical facilities affected, including a major pediatric hospital in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.
The latest wave of Russian attacks, on the eve of the start of the NATO Summit in Washington, was condemned before Guterres by the European Union and several international leaders, joined by the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
