Along with fries or burgers, chicken tenders are one of our favorite guilty pleasures to indulge in from time to time. To enjoy their crispy breading without going through the step of frying too greasy, we offer you a recipe adapted to cooking in the famous Air Fryer, this hot air fryer which has been very popular in our kitchens for some time. Here’s how to do it step by step:

Cut the chicken breasts into large cubes, put them in a salad bowl.

Add the dried garlic and paprika.

Mix to coat the diced chicken well.

Mix the flour with a little salt and pepper then put it on a plate. Crush the cornflakes a little then place them on a plate. In a plate, whisk the egg with the milk.

Roll the diced chicken in the flour.

Then roll them in the beaten egg.

Then coat them with cornflakes.

(Depending on your air fryer model, you can preheat the device for 3 minutes at 180°C, if the instructions do not specify preheating, skip this step)

Place the fillets in the basket.

Cook them for 15 minutes. They should be nicely browned and crispy.

Serve with a salad and ketchup and enjoy!

Air fryer cooking has several advantages over other methods, it allows you to reduce the amount of oil needed while maintaining their crispy texture. It is therefore particularly suitable for recipes for breaded chicken or fish, fries, potatoes, croquettes, etc.

This cooking method also has other advantages, it is faster than cooking in the ordinary oven, between 30% and 50% which saves time in the kitchen. Additionally, the air fryer generally uses less energy than the oven, which can contribute to electricity savings. In terms of health, it makes it possible to recommend the pleasure of crispy foods without resorting to frying, which considerably reduces the fat content of dishes.
