Hungarian Salad

Ingredients

  • ½ cabbage, finely chopped
  • ½ kg of grated carrots
  • 2 chopped peppers
  • 3 green apples, chopped
  • 1 cup (tea) of seedless black raisins
  • 1 small jar of mayonnaise
  • ½ cup (tea) of ketchup
  • 1 dessert spoon of salt
  • ½ can of cream without whey
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil

Preparation Mode

  1. In a blender, add the mayonnaise, ketchup, salt, cream, egg, Worcestershire sauce and olive oil. Blend well.
  2. Pour the sauce over the cabbage, carrots, peppers, apples and raisins.
  3. Serve very cold.

Mom’s Tips

Before serving, check if there is enough salt.

An easy way to remove whey from cream is to turn the can upside down. Use a can opener to make a small opening in the can and drain the whey.

Special Cabbage Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 chopped or grated cabbage
  • 2 packets of Ramen noodles
  • 1 cup (tea) of sliced ​​almonds
  • 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • Rice vinegar
  • Chopped green smell
  • Olive oil and oil
  • Ajinomoto
  • Butter
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Mode

  1. Chop the cabbage very finely.
  2. Crush the noodles with your hands and set aside.
  3. Season the cabbage with rice vinegar, olive oil, a little corn or canola oil, salt, ajinomoto to taste and plenty of parsley.
  4. In a frying pan, add the butter and fry the sesame seeds and chopped almonds.
  5. Let it brown without burning and wait for it to cool.
  6. Mix with the seasoned cabbage when cool.
  7. Finally, add the reserved (raw) noodles and mix.

Mom’s Tips

If you prefer, you can use red cabbage.

Ramen = instant noodles/pre-cooked noodles
