O US President Joe Biden reiterated this Friday that he will continue in the race for the November presidential elections, having declared loud and clear that he will once again defeat former head of state Donald Trump.

“You probably heard I had a little debate last week. I can’t say it was my best performance, but since then there’s been a lot of speculation. What is Joe going to do? Is he going to stay in the race? What is he going to do? Well, here’s my answer. I’m in the race and I’m going to win again.”he said during a rally in Wisconsin.

The Democrat also said that despite those trying to take him out of the race, he will not let it happen. “that a 90-minute debate destroys three and a half years of work”.

“Let me say this as clearly as possible: I’m going to stay in the race! I’m going to beat Donald Trump. […] Let’s unite, win this election and politically exile Donald Trump“, he reiterated.

The head of state did not fail to throw barbs at the tycoon, whom he referred to as “a convicted criminal”. Biden also noted that when he was president, Trump claimed that George Washington’s army won the Revolutionary War by taking control of airports from the British.

“That’s just verbal blunders. Airports and the British in 1776. It’s true, he’s a genius.”he joked.

It is recalled that Biden justified his poor performance in the debate with his conservative competitor, last Thursday, with the fatigue caused by his recent international trips, having “almost fallen asleep on stage” during a meeting with Democratic donors near Washington.

What is certain is that his performance has caused a wave of panic in the Democratic camp, where there are now open questions about the capabilities of 81-year-old Joe Biden for another term in the White House and the future of his candidacy.
