“Dduring the last day [terça-feira]Israeli troops operating in the northern Gaza Strip killed more than 15 Hamas terrorists,” a military statement said today, adding that 10 more armed fighters were killed in the central part of the Palestinian enclave.

The Army said it had arrested around 10 members of the Islamic Jihad group “who were using a school as a hideout”.

According to EFE, information about the location of the fighters at the school has not yet been independently confirmed.

Israeli troops also searched unspecified “military sites”, where they found large quantities of weapons, as well as documents and military equipment belonging to the Hamas organization, says the Armed Forces text.

In the southern Gaza Strip, in Khan Younis, the army said it had identified and eliminated a “terrorist cell” during an airstrike.
