The official Palestinian news agency, Wafa, claims that the “small” truck was transporting humanitarian aid and that the incident left at least eight dead, but an Army spokesperson told EFE that the truck was not transporting aid.

According to the military spokesman, it was an airstrike by troops based on intelligence information to eliminate Mahmud Muhamad Abd Jad, responsible for recruiting agents for Hamas and raising funds for the Islamist group.
