Kuleba met this week with his American counterpart, Antony Blinken, during the Munich Security Conference, for a conversation that addressed the situation of foreign aid to the Ukrainian war effort.

“I conveyed to you the sense of urgency and the current priority needs of Ukraine’s defenders: ammunition, anti-aircraft defense and long-range capabilities,” Kuleba said in a message posted on the X social network.

The head of Ukrainian diplomacy said he had presented sufficient arguments to justify supplying his country with ATACMS missiles, with a range of 300 kilometers.

“Continued military assistance from the United States is essential”, insisted the minister, who also had the opportunity this week to meet with the G7 Foreign Ministers, who asked for greater speed in decisions regarding the confiscation of Russian assets frozen under of restrictive measures against Moscow, so that they serve to help Ukraine.

In response to Kuleba’s appeals to the US, Blinken assured that his Government “is committed to the defense of Ukraine and its future”.

“In Munich I spoke with Dmytro Kuleba about the United States’ support for recovery efforts and a free and prosperous Ukraine,” added the head of North American diplomacy.
