“AThe Armed Forces successfully carried out attacks against the maritime and port infrastructure of the Zaliv shipyard in the temporarily occupied city of Kerch,” the Ukrainian Army said.
In response, the Russian governor of Crimea, Sergueï Aksionov, declared on social media that there were no casualties and that the missiles fired by Ukraine at a shipyard in Kerch were shot down.
Ukrainian and Russian attacks in the Black Sea area have increased since Russia’s suspension in July of the agreement allowing the passage of grain-carrying ships.
In September, Ukraine launched missiles at the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea fleet in the Crimean port city of Sevastopol.
Ukraine and Russia have been at war for more than a year since Russian troops invaded Ukrainian territory on February 24, 2022. The Ukrainian region of Crimea was occupied and annexed by Russia in 2014.
