Tasty and very healthy, rabbit meat is widely consumed in France, Italy and fine restaurants throughout Brazil. Try it yourself too!


  • 1 and ½ kg of young rabbit
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Lemon juice to taste
  • 6 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 cup mustard (tea)
  • 1 bunch of chopped green chilli
  • 1 can of cream with whey

Preparation Mode

  1. Clean the rabbit and cut into pieces at the joints.
  2. Season with pepper, salt and lemon juice.
  3. Leave to marinate for an hour.
  4. In a pan, heat the oil, add the rabbit pieces and let them brown evenly.
  5. Add the mustard and green scent.
  6. Cover the pan and cook over low heat for approximately 40 minutes.
  7. Add boiling water as it dries.
  8. Remove and add the cream and mix well.

Mom Tips

In good butchers or the Municipal Market in your city, you can find rabbit meat.

Serve hot, as a main dish accompanied by straw potatoes and steamed vegetables.
