For those of you who enjoy dried meat, this recipe is a must! Enjoy!


  • 2 cups of cooked and mashed cassava
  • 1 cup cornstarch (cornstarch)
  • 1 cup of milk (tea)
  • 1/3 cup (tea) oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of chemical baking powder
  • Salt to taste

Filling Ingredients

  • 3 cups of desalted dried meat, cooked and shredded
  • 200 grams of cream cheese
  • ½ cup chopped green chilli
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 chopped seedless tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste

Filling preparation method

  1. In a pan, over medium heat, fry the onion in oil until golden.
  2. Add the dried meat, green chilli, tomatoes and sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the curd, pepper, salt and mix well. Reserve.

Dough Preparation Method

  1. Grease and flour a 30 cm diameter pan. Reserve.
  2. Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
  3. In a blender, beat the cassava, milk, cornstarch, oil, eggs, salt and yeast until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  4. Pour half of the batter into the pan.
  5. Distribute the filling on top.
  6. Cover with the remaining dough.
  7. Bake for approximately 35 minutes or until the dough is golden.

Mom Tips

If you prefer, you can use another format of your choice.

To desalt the dried meat, cut the meat into small pieces and leave it to soak in water in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours. Change the water every 4 hours. Remove, wash under running water and cook the meat in the pressure cooker for 30 minutes. Remove after the pressure releases from the pan and shred the meat with the help of a fork.
