PFor Putin, these suspicions result from an attempt to “divert attention” from the sabotage carried out on the Nord Stream gas pipelines in 2022.
Asked during a press conference in the Kyrgyz capital, Putin replied: “I didn’t even know this gas pipeline existed.”
He also attributed the problem to a technical problem or “even an earthquake”.
In his opinion, the accusations against the Russian Federation are aimed at “disguising the terrorist act committed by the West against Nord Stream. Diverting attention.”

Finnish President Sauli Niinistö said on Tuesday that the leak in the gas pipeline was probably “the result of external activity”, which immediately raised questions about possible involvement by the Russian Federation.
