  • 1 cup (tea) wheat flour
  • 2/3 cup (tea) whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons crushed fresh sage
  • ¾ cup of warm milk
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablet of fresh yeast for bread

Preparation Mode

  1. In a bowl, sift both types of flour, salt and mix well. Reserve.
  2. Mix the yeast with the milk until it dissolves well.
  3. To the dry ingredients, add the sage and milk with yeast.
  4. Knead until you get a soft dough.
  5. Let it rest for 1 hour covered with a kitchen towel.
  6. Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
  7. Make a ball with the dough, shape the bread and place it in a lightly greased pan.
  8. Using a knife, make slight cuts on the surface of the dough.
  9. Bake for approximately 40 minutes or until well risen and golden.

Mom Tips

Sage resembles herbs such as basil, rosemary, thyme and others.
