Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of bread without crust
  • 200 grams of mozzarella cheese
  • 200 grams of ham
  • 500 grams of ripe tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Mode

  1. Dip the tomatoes in boiling water, remove them and place them in cold water.
  2. Then remove the skin, cut them in half, remove the seeds and cut them into pieces.
  3. Peel the onion and garlic and chop everything very finely.
  4. In a pan, add them with the olive oil and heat until the onion is soft.
  5. Add the tomato and oregano and season with salt.
  6. Stir and let cook until you get a creamy sauce. Remove from heat and set aside.
  7. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  8. Arrange the slices of bread on a baking tray and drizzle with the tomato sauce.
  9. Distribute the cheese and ham.
  10. Place in the oven until the cheese melts.
  11. Remove and serve hot.

Mom Tips

If you prefer, replace the ham with ham.

You can add pepperoni sausage to the filling.
